SearchThe first edition of Moeve light up brought together projects in artificial intelligence, biofuels, renewable energy and water management. The energy company will assess which ones move forward toward possible implementation.
Ten startups presented the results of pilot projects they had developed with Moeve in the first edition of its accelerator. At Demo Day, held at the company’s corporate headquarters, the businesses showcased their progress after nearly a year of work testing their technologies in real-world settings.
The presentation does not mean the solutions have already been implemented. Moeve will assess which ones could move on to a new phase of work with its business units and which need further technological development. The company sees the accelerator as a space to explore the practical application of emerging proposals before deciding whether they have potential for use in its operations.
The initiatives span different areas of energy and sustainability. CicerAI applies artificial intelligence to contract review and legal information management, while Emissium is working on tools for reporting emissions and analyzing electricity markets.
In the fields of fuels and sustainable chemistry, Kanara is developing a technology to produce lipids using plant cell cultures; Phycobloom is exploring the use of algae as a feedstock for biofuels and chemical products; and Nium is working on green ammonia production using nanocatalysts.
Other pilots focus on services, accessibility and resources: Sensei proposes a smart-store model for service stations; Visualfy offers visual and digital alerts for people with hearing impairments; Solaris Vita is integrating semitransparent organic photovoltaic panels into agricultural settings; and Water Challenge is treating and recovering value from industrial wastewater. Woza Labs is developing a geolocated platform to organize information about renewable raw materials and sustainable fuels.
These descriptions reflect the solutions presented by the companies and the information released about the program; they do not, in themselves, demonstrate commercial results or large-scale implementation.
The first call for applications received more than 500 submissions in March 2025. Following the selection process, the ten participating companies developed their pilots with Moeve. The energy company also states that, since launching its open innovation program Moeve light up, it has assessed more than 2,000 initiatives from the entrepreneurial and technology ecosystem.
Following this edition, Moeve is working on the design of a second call for applications. The selection of projects that continue and the scope of any possible implementation will depend on the assessment of each pilot and its level of maturity, according to the information provided about the initiative.

The BOE has published RDL 28/2026 and 29/2026, which introduce urgent measures such as the suspension of evictions for vulnerable groups, automatic lease extensions, and a 10 billion euro fund for home purchases. RDL 28/2026 will enter into force on November 15, 2026, subject to ratification by the Permanent Delegation, while RDL 29/2026 regulates the automatic extension of contracts.
